Q: When is the conference?
A: The Conference will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 through Saturday, December 31, 2011. In addition, many Single Adults may also be attending the local Church meetings on the following Sunday at the same church building.
Q: Where is the conference being held?
A: Most activities will take place at the Dale City Chapel in Woodbridge, VA. See the Maps section, or try Google Maps for further directions.
Q: Where can we attend Church on Sunday January 1st?
A: Several wards meet in the same building in which the conference takes place:
Dale City Chapel

Woodbridge, VA 22193
Directions from DC going South on I-95:
Take exit 156 to Dale Blvd going west.
Continue 1 mile to Dale Blvd and Gideon Blvd intersection.
Chapel will be on the right.
Here are the wards and their starting times, according to lds.org:
Woodbridge Ward - 8:00 AM
Potomac River (Spanish) Ward - 11:30 AM
Quantico Ward - 2:00 PM
In addition, some may wish to attend the Potomac (Single Adult) Ward, which meets from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at 745 23rd St. S, Arlington, VA 22200. Here are directions to that building (which does not really resemble a regular church building) from the Dale City Chapel:
Go West on Dale Blvd. toward Ashdale Ave.
Make a U-turn, preferably before Birchdale Ave.
Take ramp to I-95 N, toward Washington.
Merge onto I-95 N via the ramp on the left.
Take Exit 170A-B toward I-395 N/Washington/I-495 N/Tysons Corner.
Merge onto I-395 N via Exit 170A on the left toward Washington.
Merge onto S Glebe Rd. via Exit 7A.
Turn left onto S Arlington Ridge Rd., just past S. Lang St.
Turn right onto 23rd St. S, just past S Oakcrest Rd.
745 23rd St. S is on the left.

Q: Who should attend?
A: All singles (31+) are welcome to attend. Divorces must be finalized.
Q: How much does it cost to attend?
A: The total cost of the conference is $25 on or before December 12, 2011 and $40 after December 12, 2011.
Q: What do I need to do to register?
A: To register, complete the registration form and mail with your check. Additionally, you may register at the event. Registering before the conference is encouraged, as it will help us plan for food purchases.
Additional Note: The Church Finance Department has informed us that “The use of PayPal or its functional equivalent in connection with Church-sponsored events is against Church policy.”
Therefore, “The authorized means of collecting money from members for this Conference are:
- Payment in advance by personal check made payable to the host stake. (Woodbridge VA Stake)*
- Payment in cash or check at the door on the day of the event, with the check made payable to the host stake (Woodbridge Stake) and a paper receipt issued for cash payments.”
We are aware that using PayPal is convenient; however, it would generate the following issues:
a. “Implications for the Church's tax exempt status.”
b. “Tax implications for the individual who establishes the PayPal account to be used, and”
c. “Ecclesiastical and administrative controls over the funds collected.”

Q: What is the dress code?
A: "Nice Casual" means no jeans or T-shirts; appropriate to meet in the chapel. "Formal/semi-formal" means dress as nicely as you would personally like to for the dance.
Q: Is member housing being offered?
A: No, we encourage you to book a hotel (see Lodging for recommendations) or stay with friends.
